Children's Place Noteworthy News

Children's Place CEO Aquires American Eagle 77kids line

The popular retailer Children's Place has aquired a new line of fashion as of August 15, 2012 from the popular mall retailer American Eagle

First introduced in 2008, the children's clothing line was sold alongside adult fashions in select American Eagle stores across the United States. American Eagle has been a popular brand, known for it's "preppy" look and mall store exclusivity.

The amount of the sale was not disclosed, but Children's Place seems like a good fit for the clothing line, as it already has the targeted audience shopping it's racks.

Children's Place will only use the 77kids lines "name" through January - there is no word on what the company will call this new line of clothes in the future.
We think this is the perfect place for the former American Eagle kids clothing line - and is sure to be a hit among children and parents alike.
